Message from Founder
NOIRE is the intersection of Wine & Art; celebrating and spotlighting artists, vintners, wineries and wine brands of color. During a trip to my home states’ wine region of Napa Valley, I was inspired to create and carry out my own vision of a wine tasting experience that I felt would better reflect myself, the diversity of my own community and of our world. My experiences traveling and living abroad have allowed me to cultivate my own perspective and love of wine, art and culture. Wine & Art perfectly compliment one another and is the reason for bringing the two together for you to enjoy.
I have studied as a WSET Level 1 & Level 2 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) student through the Napa Valley Wine Academy where I also received certification in the completion of the Business of Wine Course. Gained hands on experience through working harvest for a family-owned winery in Napa Valley based in St. Helena for the 2022 Vintage. I am part of a diverse, dedicated and vibrant communities in wine focused on uplifting and the enrichment of underrepresented minorities in the wine industry. I am a proud member of The Association of African American Vintners, an alumni and ambassador of Wine Unify, recognized by the Lift Collective, a member of Bâtonnage Forum as well as a 2023-2024 James Beard Foundation Legacy Network Alum—the only Wine & Spirits professional selected for the cohort.
NOIRE curates and participates in wine events for wine brands, private events, non-profit organizations, opening exhibits & VIP receptions for art gallery’s including Malibu & Downtown LA based Art Gallery, Jac Forbes Contemporary, collaborating with a fine dining experience, Black Pot Supper Club with Chef Martin Draluck (Netflix: High On The Hog) and consulting with a restaurant, ROOTS, as the Beverage Director in the creation of their wine & beverage program.
As a Los Angeles native I’m part of a diverse community brimming with authenticity, passion and creativity. There are plans underway to find the perfect location here in my hometown of Los Angeles to open the brick mortar location of NOIRE, so stay tuned!
